Deep Purple – Jordan Rudess helyettesítette Don Airey-t

Igencsak meglepődhettek a Deep Purple mexikói rajongói, hiszen március 14-én a Foro Pegaso-i Hell & Heaven Fesztiválon nem Don Airey, hanem a Dream Theater billentyűs mágusa, Jordan Rudess tűnt fel a billentyűk mögött.

Az okot Airey fia, Mike (aki a Deep Purple billentyű-technikusa) árulta el: „Apám kórházban van, műtétre vár, ezért helyettesítette őt Jordan Rudess, aki kiváló munkát végzett. Ott voltam a színpad balján, Roger Glovert figyeltem, közben balról jobbra pásztáztam a színpadot. Nagyszerű buli volt, a közönség imádta. Remélem, apa hamarosan visszatér.”

Az még nagy kérdés, hogy a banda európai turnéja május végén elindul-e az ismert ok miatt.

What an interesting night! Due to my dad currently being in hospital awaiting an operation, @jcrudess from @dreamtheaterofficial stepped up to the plate here in Mexico and did an amazing job of covering the keys position. I looked after #rogerglover and as such switched from stage left to right. A very different perspective and sound! Show went great. Crowd loved it. Hope to have dad behind the organ in no time! Meant to be heading home but going to nyc to see @brandilukas as I now can’t travel there from U.K. This virus is impacting the music industry hard.
