Whitesnake – Bőséges extrákkal jön a ’Slide It In’ 35 éves jubileumi kiadása

1984-ben jelent meg a Whitesnake ’Slide It In’ című nagylemeze, amely több mint négymillió példányban kelt el a megjelenése óta. Ez a szám a jövőben is biztos emelkedni fog, hiszen a Rhino Records március végén további négy új változatot dob piacra.

Sokan türelmetlenül várják már David Coverdale zenekarának következő nagylemezét, de közben egy másik jó hír is érkezett a csapat háza tájáról. Az ’Unzipped’ után egy régi album ölt új köntöst a Rhino Recordsnak köszönhetően. Ezúttal a ’Slide It In’ lesz a főszereplő, amely többek között egy 6 CD-t + DVD-t tartalmazó díszdobozban lesz kapható. A 2019-es remaszterizált US és UK verziókon felül egy újabb, 2019-es remix változat lesz meghallgatható, ezen felül eddig még kiadatlan élő felvételeket is láthatunk és hallhatunk, kiadatlan felvételeket a stúdiómunkálatokból, promó videókat és természetesen az alapítóval hosszas interjút. A négy változat közül a legkisebb a hagyományos CD lesz, amelyen csak a 2019-es US mix lesz hallható, a 2 CD-s változaton a UK és a US mix is természetesen. A vinyl kiadványok kedvelői is örülhetnek, hiszen a 2 LP lemezen mindkét hang hallható lesz.

Az eredeti albumon David Coverdale mellett Micky Moody (gitár), Mel Galley (gitár), Colin Hodgkinson (basszusgitár), Cozy Powell (dob) és Jon Lord (billentyűs hangszerek) zenéltek. Az újrakevert US mixeken már Micky Moody és Colin Hodgkinson helyén John Sykes és Neil Murray játszik.
